STRESS ECHOCARDIOGRAM

Description

This test includes an exercise stress test with an echocardiogram. If you are unable to walk on the treadmill, the test may be preformed using a medication given through an IV. This test will take approximately 1½ hour.

Instructions for All Stress Tests

• Nothing to eat or drink for five (5) hours
• No caffeine or decaf for 24 hours
• No tobacco for 12 hours
• Wear loose clothing and comfortable walking shoes
• Some medications will interfere with the test. Please ask your physician or contact our staff for instructions
