Internal Medicine
Internal Medicine physicians or "Internists" are medical specialists who have completed college, medical school and a three-year residency focusing on medical care of adults. Known as "doctors for adults", Internists require a minimum of seven years' training in all aspects of patient care including illness prevention, diagnosis and treatment - focusing on the problems of adults.
