Welcome to the Infusa Home I.V. Therapy Program. This program is a division of Selma Medical Associates, Inc. and has been in existence for over ten years. It is directed by Dr. John Armstrong and Dr. Mark Galbraith. They are Internal Medicine physicians who specialize in Infectious Diseases.
In our home infusion program, you or a family member will be instructed by a nurse on how to administer your medication. You will also be provided with written instructions and the number for the on-call nurse if you should have a question or problem at home.
During the course of your therapy, you will be seen by a physician in our office once a week. During this visit we will draw labs to assess your response to the medication and your progress, change your PICC line dressing and provide you with supplies for the next week of therapy. We try to minimize the number of visits during your therapy but some medications require labs twice a week as the medications will not retain their potency for more than three to four days and this will require you to come to our office to pick up supplies more than once a week.
We understand that this can be a frustrating and frightening time for you and your family. We strive to provide good quality care with empathy and understanding. If you have a concern or complaint during your therapy please discuss this with your physician or nurse. At the completion of your therapy, we ask that you fill out a Patient Satisfaction Survey. This allows us to correct any problems and improve our services to future clients.
