Infectious Disease

An Infectious Disease physician has received special training in the management and treatment of infections, communicable diseases and foreign travel immunization requirements. This includes infection control as well as health promotion and disease prevention with special emphasis in the use of antibiotic therapy. A JCAHO accredited infusion therapy department is available for outpatient management of illnesses requiring intravenous medication.
